Why We Built This Site
Indiana does not offer a public statewide criminal-warrant lookup that replaces local confirmation. MyCase can locate many public, non-confidential cases, but the state warns that the online display is not the official court record and may omit older, confidential, or recently changed material. In St. Joseph County, the St. Joseph County Clerk of the Circuit and Superior Courts keeps county court files, while the Police Department Warrant Division processes and serves criminal warrants and civil body attachments. Walkerton Town Court keeps its own town-court records.
The goal is to make that routing understandable without publishing a roster or personal case information. Office roles, official links, phone numbers, addresses, access limits, and practical distinctions are gathered from county, court, municipal, and Indiana government sources. Current status must still come from the issuing court or the Warrant Division.
What You Will Find Here
Content is organized around lawful self-check and resolution needs in St. Joseph County. It explains:
- how to begin with MyCase and then confirm through the proper clerk or Warrant Division;
- how arrest, bench, traffic failure-to-appear, civil body attachment, search, and inspection-warrant terms differ;
- which of the county’s four courthouse locations or Walkerton Town Court may control a record;
- why jail custody, BMV status, city administrative tickets, and court warrants are separate records; and
- how Indiana court-access rules and the Access to Public Records Act affect availability.
The pages use public office information rather than names, mugshots, private addresses, or active-case profiles. Most-wanted material is described and linked only through official program channels.
What We Cannot Do
St. Joseph County Warrant Records is privately operated and has no affiliation with an Indiana court, clerk, police department, sheriff, jail, or other government office. It cannot:
- confirm whether an order is active, served, recalled, or cleared;
- file a motion, set a hearing, arrange surrender, or post bond;
- accept court payments or determine whether a payment changes warrant status;
- provide legal advice about a specific case; or
- guarantee that an online docket, phone number, fee, or office schedule remains current.
Only the court that issued an order and the official warrant-service channel can confirm its current status; an Indiana attorney can advise on a response.
Search Partners
Some content pages contain search boxes supplied by third-party providers. A provider controls its own service, coverage, and price, and this site may receive a referral fee when a visitor follows a paid offer. Those results are not official St. Joseph County warrant confirmation. Users should verify any relevant information directly with the originating court or the St. Joseph County Police Department Warrant Division and should not use the service for a purpose regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
